The world is falling apart. Grotesque creatures emerge without warning, attacking people, destroying homes, and turning familiar places into scenes of horror. As cities collapse and survivors flee in search of safety, an old farmer decides to remain where he has always lived.
At 72, Tenório has spent his entire life working to earn his farm. Proud, grumpy, and incapable of accepting that anyone or anything might take what belongs to him, he refuses to abandon the only property he owns. Armed with tools, an old shotgun, and an almost suicidal stubbornness, he faces monsters whose nature and behavior defy all explanation.
But each encounter reveals even more absurd horrors, and survival demands more than courage. Amid the violence, loneliness, and ruin of everything he knows, Tenório must discover just how far he is willing to go to defend his last piece of the world. When his own home ceases to be a refuge, all that remains is to face the abyss.
