Clement of Rome lived among the apostles, which is why his writings are so important in the history of Christianity. The way of thinking and living of the early Christians is visible in Clement's texts. Only Clement's first letter to the Corinthians is considered by critics to be actually his work. This book contains the complete text of the first and second letters, the latter considered an ancient writing, but not by Clement. Even so, we provide a complete analysis of this second letter. This book is a source of knowledge for those who want to understand the intricacies of Christian life in the time of the apostles. Knowing the writings of the so-called "fathers of the church" is of paramount importance for those who wish to delve deeper into the history of Christianity. But knowing Clement is even more significant. He lived among the apostles and seems to have been an important figure in the post-apostolic church. The Roman Catholic Church considers him the fourth pope, since Clement was a bishop (even if a presbyter) in Rome. His intervention to resolve a dispute in the Church of Corinth is portrayed in this letter. The authorship of the second letter is not confirmed. Clement, Bishop of Rome, is considered by the Catholic Church to be one of the first popes. However, in his letter and in the annals of history, Clement never assumed the authority of primate bishop of the Church of Christ. From Rome, he sent a letter to the Church of Corinth, a Greek city.
